The Capitol Woodwind Quintet

History

 

The Capitol Woodwind Quintet was formed in 1977 when its players, as artists in residence, met at an international music festival in Venezuela. Since that time, the Quintet has become well known through its many critically acclaimed concert appearances at the National Gallery of Art, The Phillips Collection, Strathmore Hall, Dumbarton Church, the World Bank, The Barns at Wolf Trap, its radio broadcasts on stations WETA, WGMS, WAMU as well as National Public Radio.
